Flag to Fold in Pocket, 2024-Present

These are portable, tactile amulet-like banners and maps hand-printed on heavily manipulated, dyed Sekishu paper that take on a soft, durable, cloth-like texture meant to be carried, touched, and used as personal guides of resilience in difficult times. To be brandished in their unfolded state or carried privately in a pocket when folded to 2 × 3”.

Inspired by Claes Oldenburg’s, Flag to Fold in the Pocket, 1960.
